The Glasgow Clan are in town to play the Nottingham Panthers in their first league game on home ice of the 19/20 season. Panthers have a new management team this season, with a Director of Hockey, ex-player Gui Doucet and a new American coach, Tim Wallace. The pair have been busy recruiting over the summer, including a new net-minder Kevin Carr, and introduce a fresh young roster (average age 26) of Brits, Americans, Canadians, plus a couple of European players, who will be hungry to impress. Panthers finished third in the Elite League last year and Clan finished fourth, only three points behind, so were hot on their tails. You can expect speed, goals, atmosphere, loud music, fun and plenty of action in this season’s opener.
