Even though its Spring and the weather is picking up its still very cold in European refugee camps! Syrian winters can be VERY cold, and there was very heavy snow in the winter of 2013/14. People can and do die of hypothermia, and children are very vulnerable. Displaced people often live in freezing, damp and draughty conditions, such as tents, caves and abandoned buildings.
Come join the Knitting Society and learn how to knit a woolly hat and scarf for Refugees across Europe. We urgently need NEW knitted/crocheted clothing for anyone from newborn infant to adult. The Knitting experts will be there to show you the ropes and tea and biscuits will be provided for all those that get involved!
