Nottingham Trent University LEX Law Society Ball 2014.

 

“He gives large parties, and I like large parties - they're so intimate. Small parties, there isn't any privacy.”

Hello old sport. It’s the 1920s, the prohibition of alcohol backfired. The parties have been sent underground and are bigger than ever. The bar is in full swing, and floating rounds of cocktails permeate the garden outside, until the air is alive with chatter and laughter, and casual innuendo and introductions forgotten on the spot, and enthusiastic meetings between women who never knew each other's names.

Gentleman, pick out your sharpest suit. Ladies, think all things glamorous, for it is sure to be a spectacular night.

The event shall begin in the basement of the Students’ Union at 7pm with a champagne reception, giving everyone an opportunity to socialise, grab a drink and listen to some swinging post-war era music before taking their seats for a full three course meal.

Given that this is the biggest event of the year for the LEX Law Society, the party will of course not stop there. After further entertainment and the presenting of several awards we shall head upstairs to the The Loft for the infamous after-party.

The after-party will be complete with DJs and the drinks are sure to flow into the early hours of the morning making it a soirée that Jay Gatsby himself would be proud to host.

This year we have tried to ensure that the meal will cater to everyone’s desires. As such, we have several options for you to choose from. Upon buying your ticket, please can you complete your food choices as soon as possible, as this will aid us in ensuring that this event is the best yet!
