There’s a reason that people return to Oxfordshire again and again. From the ancient university to the rolling hills of the Cotswolds there is so much rich history and culture to explore. Whether you want to discover an ancient civilisation at a world famous museum, wander some of the most famous landmarks in the UK or relax with an afternoon tea, you’ll have a wonderful day!
Included in your ticket is a tour of the historic Bodleian Library, where you'll see the 15th-century Divinity School and Duke Humfrey's medieval library. For the rest of the day you'll be free to explore the city, taking in the main sights, eating some great food or trying your hand at punting down the river! The ticket is great value and includes all of your travel there and back!
What do I need to bring?
- Your ticket!
- Appropriate clothing for the weather on the day
- Any spending money you want
- A rucksack
- A bottle of water
Your ticket does not include the price of lunch, so we would recommend bring a packed lunch or money to buy lunch.
Instructions for ticket holders:
- Arrive at the pick-up location at least 15 minutes before the stated departure time. This allows us to keep the trip on schedule.
- Have your ticket ready for inspection. This can either be a physical copy collected from the Box Office or an email confirmation.
- Please be dressed appropriately for the weather conditions
- Be advised that the coaches will be leaving promptly at the coach pick up point at 4pm.
- Our driver will not wait for you if you are late. They will leave in the morning at the pick-up point at 9am, and again the departure point at 4pm. If you miss the return coach, you will have to utilise public transport options to return to Nottingham.

Tickets, Cancelations, Refunds and Adverse Weather Conditions
- All tickets once sold are strictly non-refundable in all circumstances except where a trip is cancelled by NTSU. Notifications of cancellations will be given on social media and email where available. If you are unable to attend and provide sufficient notice, we may be able to resell your ticket, but you will only receive a refund if the ticket is sold.
- Adverse weather conditions which are held to jeopardise the safety of the trip, will result in the cancelation of the trip. Thereupon a full refund and options to reschedule will become available accordingly.
- The presence of precipitation, wind or unpleasant weather conditions will not automatically entitle participants to a refund. Sign-ups must expect and be prepared for all aspects of British weather.
- Students must be on time at the meeting point or coach will leave without them. This is the case both leaving and returning.
Expected Conduct and Liabilities
- Please observe the authority of the trip leader and follow all reasonable instructions. Our staff and guides are there to keep you safe!
- We advise against you taking expensive or sentimental belongings on these trips. Nottingham Trent Students’ Union cannot be held liable or responsible for any losses sustained to property however caused.
