Pre bookable slots for the Puppy Room have now gone - please join the queue on the day at either the City or Clifton Campus from 9am for your chance to access the room. Both rooms will be taking place in the Student Union venues.
NTSU is working with Guild Dogs for the Blind offer this unique opportunity - As demand for the puppy room has been so high each student will be given a maximum of ten minutes with a range of dog ages ranging from 5 months to 2 years. We are suggesting students give a £2 - £3 donation on the day that will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
About Guide Dogs From The Blind:
During puppy training it is really important that our dogs encounter different environments, as we never know what they are going to experience during their working lives so we like to prepare them for a variety of eventualities. We've recently trained a guide dog owner who is studying for a music degree and the dog has helped him to achieve this, enabling him to live an independent life. Additionally the youngest Guide Dog Owner in the country has just qualified at the age of 11 years old, highlighting that some of our dogs will encounter academic settings.
