Radical Quilt Making Workshop

Want to be involved in NTSU's first art Display? Inspired by the work of Rosie Lee Tompkin, it's time to make a map of what it means to be Black in Nottingham and NTU's Community.

Rosie Lee Tompkins's seductive and irresistible radical quilts portray maps of the melting pot of American Culture and Politics, and it’s time for us to create our own here at NTSU. Whether you want to bring your own fabrics, express what being black means to you, or simply get involved to meet people who have similar shared experiences as you, this is an opportnuity to celebrate your heritage and unify.

You will be invited to make a patch to add to our quilt, which will then be stitched together and exhibited in the Union at the end of the month and become a permanent fixture that sets our ambitions for our Black Futures Programme in 2021 - 2022.

This event is free. Book now to guarantee your spot

Take part in this unifying event and together let's celebrate what it means to be black here at NTU.
