Nottingham Trent University is currently undertaking some foundation work to influence the development of a new strategic plan. An element of the work is to determine what current and future students regard as an ideal experience of higher education. Nottingham Trent Students’ Union is keen to play an active role in influencing the university’s strategic thinking and to represent the views of its current and future members as part of this process.

This workshop will use feedback gathered in a number of focus groups to try and tackle the following key questions that will be fedback to the University:

• What do students think a university is?
• How should the university feel?
• What should the ideal campus have?
