Nottingham Trent Students' Union Entertainments Proudly Presents
The Great Nottingham Trent Grad Ball!
We are very pleased to announce that the Nottingham Trent Grad Ball will return to the City Students Union on Tuesday 4th June!
This Summer you are cordially invited to travel back in time to the roaring Twenties to experience The Greatest Grad Ball! We'll be transforming your City Students Union into a bustling speakeasy - an Art Deco jazz club loaded with a vibrant selection of interactive entertainment, live music and glistening production. More details on those are soon to be revealed.
As the cat’s pyjamas of our Term 3 event guide, this glitzy ball will provide a great excuse to sling on your finest attire, before throwing shapes in our gold-cladded joint. As a one-off chance to bid a final farewell to your student journey, this swanky ball will be the bee’s knees. See you there for one swell of a night!
Entertainment Provided By...
Philip George
Armed with such chart-dominating bangers as ‘Wish You Were Mine’ and ‘Alone No More’, Phillip George returns to his home city this June. With his pulsating brand of pop-tinged house, he promises to unleash a high-energy set at this year’s Grad Ball.
Zie Zie
ZieZie is known for his infusion of Afrobeat productions, dancehall melodies & the high energy of UK Rap. The Congolese pioneer has become known for such hits as ‘Fine Girl’ and ‘Sensei’, which were playlisted across such stations as BBC Radio 1, 1xtra and Capital Xtra.
The Stickmen
The Stickmen are a DJ & Drummer duo who combine a live element to their DJ Sets. They play parts of the songs live using a video drum kit as a sample pad. Their show is a high energy act that fuses DJing with expressive and interactive performance.
Jason Fox
Known for his big room student anthems and dynamic mixes, your host for the evening, DJ Jason Fox leads the resident line-up for this year's Grad Ball 2019
Gregory O
You’ll probably recognise Greg from The Loft during Saturday night’s #TrentClimax. We’ve got him bringing the best urban tunes to the main stage, including RnB, Hip Hop, Afrobeats, dancehall and grime.
Azbo b2b Burkey
First Base and Climax resident Burkey will be joined by old Trent hero, Azbo - you’ll know this pair from our legendary LDOT events. Spanning disco to bass, they’re joining us once more with their unique collaboration.
Kinetic b2b Nathan Woods
Two of our Climax residents, you’ll also recognise Nathan from Quids In. They’ll be opening Grad Ball with your favourite tech house vibes.

To ensure that your #TrentGradBall is transformed into a fully immersive Gatsby experience, we’ve teamed up with event décor experts, Visual Architects.
Outside BBQ Area
Exclusive to Grad Ball, relax and unwind outside. Completed with ample seating, festoon lighting and a BBQ serving a gourmet burger menu.

Tickets & entry to the Students’ Union are subject to the terms and conditions set out below:
- The management reserves the right to refuse admission for any reason.
- The management reserves the right to eject any patron from the establishment should they breach any rules or regulations of the venue.
- The management reserves the right to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of patrons.
- This event is 18+ and for NTU students and guests only. NTU students can sign in 2 x non student guests each.
- Student card and valid photo ID required for entry. Valid ID includes all PASS certified identification including (but not limited to) driving licence, passport and citizen card.
- Photocopied ID is NOT accepted as valid.
- Out of date ID is NOT accepted as valid.
- All tickets are non-refundable.
- All tickets MUST be collected from the City Students' Union Box Office. Collections begin Wednesday 24th April and end 3pm Monday 3rd June.
- E-tickets are assigned to the ticket purchaser by name. In the event the ticket purchaser gives their ticket to another person, the purchaser should email boxoffice@su.ntu.ac.uk to change the name on the ticket, and should do so from the email address that was used to purchase the ticket.
- If any ticket is re-sold for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the students union, the ticket may be voided and the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
- Tickets are valid for one use only. Once an e-ticket is scanned or a stub removed, it will become invalid for re-entry.
- All online orders are subject to a booking fee. Tickets are available for purchase from the City SU box office free from booking fee charge.
- Lost tickets cannot be replaced.
- The Students’ Union will not be held responsible for loss or damage to any personal property bought into the venue.
- All patrons consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience.
- Only beverages bought on the premises may be consumed in the venue.
- Smoking is prohibited inside the venue, including the use of e-cigarettes. There is a designated smoking area outside of the venue.
