We're Nottingham Marrow, a student-led volunteering project at the University of Nottingham that help sign individuals onto the stem cell register, a register that looks for tissue-type matches for people with blood cancer. If a match is found, an individual will either donate their stem cells or bone marrow; thereby becoming a life saver! It is as simple as filling out an application form and taking a swab (with assistance from our amazingly well trained volunteers), at which point we send this to the Anthony Nolan lab and you’ll be put on the register.
However, we're going to be tackling NTU and we need YOUR help! All it takes is an hour training session.. and you're set to help start saving lives. See you soon, lifesaver.
