This trip will take you from the bustling colonial town of Cuzco, through quiet Salkantay mountain tracks in the shadows of the High Andes, to visit a modern wonder of the world and a UNESCO heritage site, Machu Picchu. During the 6-day trek, you will discover varying eco-systems and climates before your final step into history - arriving at the ancient ruined city of Machu Picchu at sunrise. See the spectacular views through St Theresa Valley and trek up to one of the most beautiful lakes in the region, at the base of the Humantay Glacier. Participants will also have the option to extend their stay in Peru and South America to travel independently and discover local culture and custom.
