What is racism and how can I be an ally?

With the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement, there has been unprecedented levels of public and institutional attention on systematic racism. Racism is a word that we have been hearing a lot, especially recently but what does it really mean?

This (socially distanced) workshop will explore what racism is, the different types pf racism and how it manifests, and how you can be an ally to people who experience racism. This will be a safe space for those who may be new to discussions on race, racism and allyship. We seek to create a safe and open space where we can have honest and reflective conversations so that we can all better understand racism, its manifestations and how we can be allies.
