President’s report

• 1632 members
• Organised a trip to Budapest (36 members coming)
• Hosted professional masterclass, bottomless brunch and karate selfdefence class.
• 200 people at Christmas ball
• Successfully secured 18 deals a different bars and clubs around Nottingham.
• Sustainability is a key issue for us and we have taken measures to ensure we’re sustainable as possible (bamboo straws, recycling bottles etc).

Financial position

• £4300 in bank as of Jan 23
• Money has stayed consistent throughout the year meaning we have been able to subsidise events for members.
• We get ocean ticket commission and membership subscription money.

Whole committee

• We take responsibility for lots of things as a group.
• Being a role model for society members and students
• Being able to support our members at ocean and other events etc.
• We network a lot with other committees. Maintaining good relationships.
• Attend a meeting every Sunday.
• All try to attend events when we can.

President

• Oversee the general running of the society.
• Joint responsible with vice president to secure deals with bars
• Delegate tasks to committee members
• Main point of contact with the student union

Vice President

• Changing for next year, merged w treasurer.
• Supporting president
• Negotiating deals
• Regularly checking the bank balance
• Submitting payment request forms for events, equipment, stock, reimbursement forms
• Managing funds effectively throughout the year
• Supporting rest of committee with events, training sessions, etc

Secretary

• Take minutes of committee meetings, AGM and EGM and share these with committee promptly.
• Monitor the emails and DM replies.
• Nominees: Ellie Knights (present), Heather Cunningham (absent), Izzy Hill (present)

Social Sec

• Securing ocean tickets (Friday, 11am)
• Deciding themes, distributing tickets etc
• Communicating with other societies to organise joint pre’s, themes etc.
• Bar crawl, you’ll be the familiar face of ocean,
• Sending out messages on bar crawl etc

Events

• Organising a range of events for the society incl boat balls, bottomless brunches, skill swaps, sober events etc
• Communicating with relevant venues, djs lighting etc
• Organisation is key!
• Keeping on top of the budget
• Finding suppliers for events and negotiating deals
• Scheduling events on the SU website and ensuring tickets go live etc.
• Running events and ensuring they go smoothly.

Social & Wellbeing

• Making sure everyone is okay during events and ocean etc.
• Messaging chats to ensure everyone stays safe.
• Helping with ocean tickets, securing and distributing 
• General welfare of members, taxi safety, antispiking etc

Training Officer

• Running the training sessions every two weeks
• Ordering stock for sessions
• In charge of running the sessions and ensuring everything goes smoothly
• In charge of choosing themes for the sessions and the drinks
• Nominees: Julia Walter (present)
