*Using Public Transport - 26 Lilac Line*

Meeting place: for Brackenhurst students we will meet at Brackenhurst bus stop at 8:30am, to get the 8:48am bus to Hoveringham. We'll get off the bus at Thurgarton, Station Road at 8:52am. Anyone coming from city can meet us at the same stop, as the 8:10am bus from King Street will get you to Thurgarton Station Road on time.

Hoveringham Lake has something for everyone - a relaxing lakeside walk, a dense wet woodland full of songbirds and fungi, and hundreds of waterbirds on the lake. We know the site well and there will opportunities to use birding scopes and binoculars. Some species you could see include peregrine falcons, kingfishers and hundreds of wintering duck species. Spend as long as you feel comfortable here with us as there are bus stops at both ends of the lake you can take whenever you would like to head home.

Be sure to bring mud-friendly footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
