🎶È questo il fiore del Partigiano morto per la libertà 🎶
A plate of pasta for remembrance.
Together with the labour and student solidarity collective!
This year, we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Milan, and we want to honor a powerful act of resistance: the Antifascist Pastasciutta of the Cervi Brothers.
On July 25, 1943, when Mussolini’s regime fell, the Cervi Brothers celebrated by offering 300 kg of free pasta to the people of Campegine. A simple yet powerful gesture, speaking of freedom and solidarity.
A few months later, those seven brothers were captured, tortured, and executed by the fascists. They had no weapons, only their belief in justice. They had no fear, because they knew they were on the right side of history.
To honor their heroic act, our dinner will have a symbolic price of one pound. Because memory cannot be bought—it must be shared.
Today, just like then, being antifascist means choosing which side to stand on. It means not closing our eyes to the hatred creeping back into our societies, not looking away when rights are trampled.
Join us for an evening of good food, history, and antifascism.
