This first session is designed to give you a flavour as to how our society operates and will establish the basics of our debating format.

You will meet the new committee, be given information on how to join the society and purchase official merchandise, details of upcoming events and more...

You will then be asked to debate a simple motion, and over the weeks we will aim to refine your debating skills through training and practice. For those who don't want to speak, there's ample room for spectators and prospective judges!

Anyone is welcome, society member or not. We will be based in the Newton Building (City Campus). We look forward to meeting you!
