Our usual weekly sessions are designed to help you refine your debating skills and assist you to develop critical thinking, help with essay writing and build your confidence as a public speaker.

You will be asked to debate a motion, but for those who don’t want to speak, there’s always room for spectators and judges to give feedback and suggested improvements.

Information about society memberships, merchandise, upcoming tournaments, socials and events, and teaching opportunities in local schools will also be available.

Anyone is welcome, society member or not. We will be based in the Newton Building (City Campus). We look forward to meeting you!
