Overview

Political Discourse Society allows students to participate in a political discussion and develop their public speaking skills.

Society organises 5 main activities:

Casual Debates, Public Speaking Training Sessions, Competitions, Socials and Film Screenings.

What do we do?

Our goals are to encourage political discussion among our peers and to promote political awareness and inclusivity.

We organise:

Casual Debates

  • Where you will be able to discuss current political topics in a relaxed environment.

Public Speaking Training Sessions

  • Aimed at helping you to become a better communicator

Competitions

  • Model UN is a three-day event that will allow you to role-play as a diplomat by participating in discussions and negotiations aimed at solving international issues.
  • Public Speaking Competitions are an excellent opportunity to test the skills you have gained in Debates and Training Sessions.
