NTU Political Discourse Society

Do you get told off for being too political? Or maybe you love playing the contrarian just for fun? This society is for you.

Not your vibe? Maybe you’re quieter but want to build confidence and public speaking skills. Guess what, this society is also for you.

(And if you’re somewhere in the middle, don’t worry, you’re welcome too!)

NTU Political Discourse Society is a platform for students to engage in political discussions and develop their public speaking skills whilst engaging with a friendly, intellectually curious, and competitive community.

Our 6 Core Events (For further details click on the images of each event!)

  1. Casual Debates: Quick-fire debates on politics and ideas.
  2. Public Speaking Training: Boost your confidence on stage.
  3. Model United Nations: Step into the shoes of diplomats with full training provided.
  4. Competitions: Debate, speechwriting, and MUN.
  5. Popular Media Analysis: Explore culture through films, music, and media.
  6. Socials: Relaxed hangouts; bowling, food trips, and more.

We meet on Thursdays 6-8pm at N35 (Newton).
