Rocksoc

Hello and welcome to Nottingham Trent’s Rock and Alternative Music society!

Rocksoc is a group of 1000+ students, alumni and friends who share a love of all things rock, punk and metal. We can most often be found at our weekly socials at our favourite rock bar, the Tap n’ Tumbler, on Tuesdays, and headbanging at our very own fortnightly clubnight, Assault, held at the student union every other Friday. And in between that we explore all else that is alternative and music related in Nottingham and beyond.

We’ve got lots of fun stuff lined up for this academic year for you guys, starting off with our epic 2 week long Rocksoc Freshers’ Week, which kicks off on the 25th of September. Our many Freshers’ week events include bar crawls, a scavenger hunt, rock and metal clubnights, laserquest and much more. And ending with a huge all-day gig on the 11th of October, consisting of great bands, DJs and a BBQ. It’s going to be a great fortnight and we’re excited to meet all you Rocksoc newbies! (not to forget you oldies, of course).

Make sure you’ve joined our official Rocksoc Facebook group for more details on Freshers’ Week and to be updated regularly with all our events and other goings on. Also don’t forget to get down as attending for our Freshers’ events via our Facebook events page! And whilst you’re here, remember to buy your Rocksoc membership from this site - for only £5 you’ll get great discounts at some of the best rock/metal clubs and bars around! Plus, you’ll be the owner of your very own swanky Rocksoc membership card.

Stay tuned for more articles throughout the year and see you guys at our Eat and Greet at the Tap n’ Tumbler on 25th!
