As is Rock Soc tradition we’re holding a formal again this year! It’s a lovely celebration event to round off the year and go out in style! We’ve hired a formal function room where we will all be treated to a 3-course meal, have some professional photos taken together and hand out awards chosen by you guys! We’ll also have our own music playing during the event, to keep things ‘classy’. 

All Rock Soc members and friends are welcome, even if you haven’t attended much this year! As always, the society is subsidising the cost so tickets are just £20, tickets are just open to members at the moment, but you can buy an extra ticket and bring a friend.   

Ticket sales close at midday on Thursday 11th May as we need a week's notice to provide the seating plan and menu.

Date, Time and Location: 

Saturday 20th May, 7PM – 11PM at The Embankment (282-284 Arkwright Street, NG2 2GR) 

The embankment is located near Trent Bridge. The number 1,4 and green line buses stop nearby at the Trent Bridge bus stops, in both directions. Please try to arrive on time! 

Dress code: 

The dress code is formalwear, so nice dresses/shirts/suits/shoes etc are preferred. We’re aware not all of you will have suits on hand but please try your best to look smart I.E. no ripped jeans, trainers etc. 

When purchasing your ticket, you’ll be asked to select your meal choices from the set menu: 

(Vegetarian meals are vegan upon request) 

Starters: 

Lemongrass Chicken & Baby Corn Salad  

OR 

Chipotle mushrooms w/ Sourdough (Vegetarian) 

Mains: 

Creamed Leek, Mushroom & White Wine Tart (Vegetarian) 

OR 

Bacon Wrapped Pork Lion w/ Maple Gravy 

OR 

Paprika Chicken Breast w/ Roast Pepper Sauce & Toasted Almonds  

Dessert: 

Maple & Pecan Pie w/ Bourbon Chantilly (Vegan on request) 

OR 

White Chocolate Cheesecake w/ Raspberry Coulis

Extra notes: 

We need to put a table plan together for the meal, at the bottom of the ticket form specify 2 people who you'd like to sit with. If you dont do this you risk being sat with the wrong people (if you're buying for extra guests we'll seat you with them too obviosuly). 

If you’re buying more than one ticket at once, please use the long answer box on the form to specify the full names and choices for you and your extra guests. If their menu choices aren’t specified, we’ll default them to the vegan options. If you don't specify their names, this will cause a headache for us and your mates risk going hungry or being sat with the wrong group!
