Welcome to NTSU’s Social Sciences Society! 

The Social Sciences Society welcomes students from all backgrounds to join, whether or not you study a social sciences course :) 

We host various different types of socials ranging from study sessions, academic workshops, coffee afternoons, nights outs, formals, and many more!! We communicate with our members through email, Instagram, and our society group chat. If you would like to join our group chat, please message us on Instagram or send us an email. We look forward to seeing you at our future events!! 

This society shall have the following aims: 

1. To unite students who have a strong passion about social sciences, irrespective of whether they are a social sciences student or not. 

2. To recruit at least 30 members by the end of the 2023-2024 academic year. 

3. The society will work in partnership with the university and the School of Social Sciences to deliver academic-related social events, offering opportunities for students to network and form friendships. 

This society shall have the following objectives: 

1. Hosting at least 2-3 social events per month to provide members the opportunity to meet students from different courses.

2. The committee will regularly review the successes of each event by hosting regular meetings and will update the society's social media and distribute emails to members to communicate and promote events. 

3. Working alongside academics in the School of Social Sciences and external organisations to create networking events and opportunities for students to get greater exposure to the field of social sciences.
