Angeline Smith

Hi, I'm Angeline.

VP Societies & Sport 2026/27

I'm Angeline, your VP Societies & Sport, and my role is to support students with anything societies or sports related. Both societies and sport are a big part of the student experience here at NTU, and I'm here to be a voice for students and to provide an inclusive, engaging sport and opportunities programme.

What I've been up to

Here's a look at all the stuff I've been up to this year.

My manifesto points

Here you can see the progress of the promises I made to become your VP Societies & Sport.

Implement better interactions between societies and sports clubs, helping integrate the two to improve engagement across all campuses, build on those communities, and plan events throughout the year to create networking opportunities.

In progress

Work with NTU Sport to embed mental health awareness into club culture and committee training, making sure all committee members feel well equipped to manage pressure and support club members.

In progress

Champion inclusion for all and trans-inclusive sport, working with NTU Sport to make facilities accessible and welcoming for every student, and prioritising student feedback from all communities so that programmes, such as play-for-fun sessions, suit everyone.

In progress

Having been on a sports committee for three years, I've worked closely with BUCS and know their guidelines well — I'll work with NTU Sport to ensure clubs and committees are well supported with clear guidance, and that every club is represented.

In progress

Build on the president's network already in place for sports clubs, which I've been part of this year as club president, and expand it to bring societies and sports clubs together.
