Hello, my name is Cass Thornton and I am a disabled student and also a wheelchair user who is dealing with inaccessibility on my university course and that needs to change. I know this isn’t just a me issue and is a uk wide issue and even just a wider university issue; it’s not just my course that is inaccessible but most of them.

I would like to propose that a disability / accessibility rep is introduced into course committee to help give disabled students a voice and somewhere to bring up issues with accessibility. This also doesn’t just apply to disabled students but to any student experiencing access issues e.g: if a student is on crutches etc.

Disabled students deserve to have a specific person to go to for access issues on course to be able to give feedback and changes to be made for students now and in the future.
