Elections


Want to develop your leadership skills and make important changes at the University and Students’ Union? Nominate yourself for a position in our upcoming elections.

From our full-time officers who represent students on everything from their studies to their welfare to committee members who help to run their society or sports clubs, there are a number of opportunities you can apply for once nominations open on Monday 15th February.

LGBT+ History Month


February is LGBT+ History Month, a month dedicated to celebrating the diversity of the LGBT+ community and their achievements, and we have a whole programme of events and activities planned from film nights to panel talks.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week


The Students’ Union is also collaborating with NTU to raise awareness of sexual violence this month. As part of Sexual Violence Awareness Week, we’re hosting a panel talk and a number of workshops to highlight the support available in the local community.

Student Enterprise Week


Do you have a budding business or an innovative idea for one you want to start?  Student Enterprise Week is a chance to develop your business mindset, to learn new transferable business skills, or find out whether working for yourself is a path you would like to follow. There’s also £3000 worth of funding up for grabs to put towards your business ideas!

Run for RAG


If you want to keep fit whilst raising vital funds for charity, sign up for NTSU’s Run for RAG 10km Challenge!

We’re looking for staff and students to run, walk or cycle 10km a week to help us reach our £2000 fundraising goal. It’s a great opportunity to stay active during lockdown whilst helping to raise important funds for our chosen charities, Cancer Awareness for Teens and Twenties (CATTs) and mental health charity Student Minds.
