Success for IAS

As VP Community, I work closely with our Information and Advice Service (IAS) on a number of welfare related issues and I’m delighted to announce that they have retained their prestigious Advice Quality Standard (AQS) accreditation following this month’s annual audit.

The Information and Advice Service provides NTU students with advice on everything from mental health to housing contracts and the audit saw it reviewed for things like organisation, written records, compliance with the law and advisor experience.

Following a full day inspection, the auditor confirmed that our IAS complied with all the necessary requirements to retain their AQS and, having worked extremely hard over the last few months to prepare for it, the team couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

Our IAS Manager Sukhjit Kaur said: “I would like to thank all the IAS team for all their hard work that has gone in to being awarded this accreditation.  I know how great the team here at IAS is and it is tremendous that an external auditor agrees.”
