WELCOME TO PARASOC!
We are a society for anyone interested or studying Paramedicine, Pre-Hospital Emergency Care or Healthcare in general. Our main focus is to support students in enhancing their clinical skills and knowledge in the world of Pre-Hospital Care, while also having fun, creating memories and being able to unwind from Uni work, placement and exams. As an inclusive society we foster a community of peer support between all members so we can learn from each other as well as support each other through experiences.
We invite all our members to help teach First Aid to fellow students, staff and the general public as these skills are quite literally lifesaving. We raise money for ambulance charities such as the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) and The Ambulance Service Charity (TASC).
Parasoc is not just for those studying Paramedic Science, we welcome all our Health and Allied Professions Colleagues so whether you study on the Paramedic Science MSc course, the Associate Ambulance Practitioner (Apprentice) Course, the Student Technician course, Nursing, Midwifery or any other course, you are and always will be welcome in PARASOC!
