Come join our Give It A Go Week Platform Writing & Designing Workshop to learn core journalistic writing and magazine designing skills!

This is a chance for you to develop essential skills required for a career in journalism, as well as to learn how to land exclusive stories that matter to your audience.

The workshop will be supported by Jonny Greatrex, one of the Centre for Broadcast and Journalism's senior lecturers, and some of our Platform alumni, who are now working journalists and media professionals! This means you will also have a chance to get an insight into what being a real journalist is like, as well as how Platform can help you make your dreams come true.

Our team of editors, who are all thrid-year Journalism students, will also be there to help you and support you throughout the day, as well as our Deputy Head of Design, a third-year Graphic Design student, who will teach you basic InDesign skills needed during the production phase of bringing our magazines to life.

The event will take place in CBJ's smaller newsroom, meaning that you will also get to use the Centre's state-of-the-art facilities.
