Ever wanted to defend a stance so absurdly outrageous you can barely hold it together while speaking? Do you want to ragebait your fellow committee members by rationalising a hot-take in the most frustrating way possible?
At our Political Discourse Society taster event, you’ll get the chance to do exactly that. This isn’t your typical politics event. Through our carefully designed Fun Games (patent not pending), you’ll dive straight into the fun of debate, public speaking, and contrarian thinking, with an element of absurdity that'll force you to become creative.
The goal? To break the ice, get people laughing, and show that discourse doesn’t have to mean dry lectures or hostile arguments. Instead, it’s about exploring ideas, meeting new people, and building confidence in a supportive space. Whether you’re here for the laughs, the practice, or the chance to sharpen your quick wit, there’s a place for you.
Come along, bring your best (or worst) hot takes, and see how politics can be playful. Plus, it's free.
