🎵 About Trent Bass Society

Trent Bass Music Society is Nottingham Trent University’s dedicated hub for underground electronic music—focused on artistic development and community. We bring together DJs, producers, and music enthusiasts with a shared commitment to evolving Nottingham’s bass-driven music culture.

Our Purpose

At our core, Trent Bass is driven by a passion for music first and from—be it drum & bass, garage, house or bassline. We exist to nurture talent, encourage experimentation, and support members in exploring and refining their craft within Nottingham’s underground scene 

What We Provide

  • Skill-building Sessions: Weekly practice and social DJ sessions at Percy Picklebackers every Wednesday during term, 4-10:30 pm—open to novices and experienced artists alike

  • Performance Opportunities & Collaboration: Our society has worked with local events and venues—such as Brickworks, Stealth, Jungle Cakes, Detonate, Unit13, DnB Allstars, Crucast, and others—connecting members with larger platforms to showcase their sound 

  • Professional Growth: We prioritize training and networking, offering opportunities to help members refine technical skills, build confidence, and pursue music careers or side projects 

 

Membership Details

  • Standard Membership (ÂŁ20/year)

  • Alumni Membership (ÂŁ10 for former members) 

Membership opens doors to our weekly sessions, discounted or priority event access, and a dedicated creative community.
