25th Feb Self Defence - Women's Welfare allocation

This ticket allocation is purely for Women's Welfare Society.

A two-hour self-defence session led by our instructor with NTU Pole, on Saturday, 3-5 at Djanogly International Centre (DICe) on City Campus! It is in the conference room, DIC015. If unsure where DICE is use the mazemaps feature on NTU app or contact one of the committee in the group chat.

Please arrive 15 mins before the session, and if you have a yoga mat, please bring one.

Self-defence was terrific last year, but we were determined to make it bigger and better for you guys! So, we're excited to have longer sessions and have it more accessible for everyone.

What our session covers:

  • Managing your space,

  • Dealing with situations too close,

  • Assaulted by hitting,

  • Time – striking an attacker

  • Problem with being choked

  • Floor problems (s/a)  - you can opt out of this if you want to, no pressure.

If you ever feel uncomfortable, do not be afraid to take time out and a member of our committee will check on you.

Here are some resources if you feel uncomfortable or need support after today's session:

Note:

  • Also, if you're unable to go to the self-defence, please contact and let us know at least a day prior in the WWS whatsapp chat or on our Instagram so we can resell it. If you don't give us less than a day's notice, you won't be able to get a refund.
