Welfare Staff £12.71/hr

Starting in the 2026 – 2027 academic year

We're looking for new Welfare Staff to join us starting in the 2026 – 2027 academic year. You'll work alongside our venue, medical and security teams on our exciting club nights to ensure welfare is the number one priority, whether that's offering support, bringing someone to our Safe Space or organising a safe way home.

Opportunities Assistant (Student-Led Events)

Average 20 hours per week across 40 weeks of the 2026 – 2027 academic year

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable experiences and making campus life vibrant and inclusive? The Nottingham Trent Students' Union is looking for an enthusiastic, organised Opportunities Assistant (Student-Led Events) to help deliver exciting student-led events across all NTU campuses. With flexible part-time hours including evenings and weekends, it's well suited to a current student wanting hands-on experience in events, leadership and community engagement.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting students and staff to plan and deliver inclusive events across NTU.
  • Overseeing events to ensure they run smoothly, and gathering feedback to improve them.
  • Working with our Venues team to coordinate events in Students' Union spaces.
  • Providing administration, including accurate financial processing and data handling.
  • Helping deliver key NTSU events such as Freshers', awards evenings and major service activities.

About you

  • Friendly, proactive and motivated
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of people
  • Able to prioritise and manage your time effectively
  • A confident communicator and great team player
  • Willing to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Positive, solutions-focused, and ready to learn new systems and tools

This is an average of 20 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until you graduate or otherwise leave NTU, covering 40 weeks across the 2026 – 2027 academic year. The start date is expected to be 9 August 2026.

Coffee Shop Assistant (Brackenhurst) £12.71/hr

Zero-hour contract, City-Campus

To serve Beverages and food in the Orangery. Some Saturdays required. Available for Freshers week. Also to keep public areas clean and tidy. Also may be required to work out of term.

Open Monday to Friday with shifts from 7:30am into the afternoon, serving hot and iced drinks, as well as pastries and sandwiches while upkeeping a friendly, clean and tidy environment.

Previous barista/coffee shop work is beneficial, but not essential.
