LGBTQ+ support

NTSU is an inclusive, supportive organisation, and we love to celebrate our diverse membership. We believe students should feel safe and respected regardless of their gender or sexuality. We are your ally, and we are here to support you.

At NTSU we have several groups that directly support our LGBTQIA+ membership. Joining a group can help you meet other people from your community, build connections and have a say on key decisions that affect you.

NTU Pride

Our Pride Society is a student organised LGBTQIA+ group supporting, representing, and welcoming students of different sexual orientations and identities. Pride Society strives to be inclusive of every colour of the rainbow and allies to the community. 
Join Pride Society to get involved in LGBTQIA+ community events and discuss gender and sexuality.
 

Sexuality Network

A community of students who feel discriminated due to their sexuality, sexual and relationship preferences, inclusive of asexual and aromantic umbrella identities, consensual non-monogamy, and people who are questioning. 
The network chairs sit on our Student Council and have a say on important decisions relating to students in their network. The network also organises events and campaigns on behalf of its membership. 
 

Gender Network

A community of students who have been disadvantaged due to their gender, or identification with any gender other than the sex they were assigned at birth, inclusive of people who are questioning. The chairs of this student network sit on our Student Council and have a say on important decisions relating to students in their network. The network also organises events and campaigns on behalf of its membership.
